This is a special one. 5 months before my album "House Of Stories" was released, I gathered Correspondent's Club members together to announce the album name, share several songs and talk through the meaning behind the title "House Of Stories". This CD contains the highlights PLUS a specially recorded alternative version of "House Of Stories".

"This is an album for anyone who has ever loved quietly, lost silently, or tried to find their way back to themselves after the world didn’t quite make sense anymore. It’s a body of work with its heart wide open, and it asks only that you meet it with yours.
It is, without hesitation, my favourite album of 2025 so far. And honestly? It would take something truly exceptional to even come close."

House Of Stories - Penfriend
"Sublime hooks in melodies and music. Laura has a knack for developing gorgeous productions in her songs too. A must have for lovers of catchy-groove-synth-hooks, and the artwork throughout this physical release just POPS! RECOMMENDED!!"

Exotic Monsters - Penfriend
"This is an album with a hand on its heart and the heart wide open - from the brooding look back in anger on Emotional Tourist to the gentle softness of In The Light Sometimes, and everything in between. An essential listen for anyone who has ever needed to stop, pause, and find their way."

House Of Stories - Penfriend
"There’s no one quite like Laura. Determined, singleminded in her frontal assault on the UK music industry, as She Makes War, her advice to Brace For Impact is vital, honest and truthful. This lady is going places.
This album has passion, aggression, anger, but also beauty, kindness and truth. It also proves without argument, we have a depth of music in this country that goes way above TV karaoke and out into the streets. Do yourself a favour and buy yourself a copy."

Brace For Impact - She Makes War
"Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Am loving this album, the more plays the better and better it becomes. This is winning!"

Exotic Monsters - Penfriend
"No doubt about it - this is a real Laura Kidd album! The song material has all typical traits of her perfect songwriting, so expect something in the vein of "Penfriend" and "She Makes War". The main difference is in the heavy rock guitars, contributed by Gareth "Rat" Pring, which shift the album right to the border line of Alternative and Hard Rock. An excellent collaboration album, that cries for more of this fine stuff."

One In A Thousand - Obey Robots
"This is one of the most fabulous albums I've heard. It captured raw emotion beautifully. It makes me want to make better music, hell, it just makes me want to be better. Inspiring"

Little Battles - She Makes War
"Laura's deceptively simple "gloom-pop" rewards repeat listening. An absolute classic that still gets better with every listen."
Garrett C
Disarm - She Makes War
"This artist's talent is an unstoppable flood of outstanding content, this one being a guitar record for anyone who's interested in an audio sample of pure brilliance."

Brace For Impact - She Makes War
"This is arguably the most scarily relevant album - by any artist - of the past thirteen years.
Bury yourself in Rat's relentless guitars and listen to what Laura tells you."

One In A Thousand - Obey Robots
"I've been an onlooker (via Laura's Patreon) while this lovely album has been coming together, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a resonant journey, and my favourite song keeps changing but EmoT is definitely a banger, for all sorts of reasons."

"Laura is a tremendous songwriter, musician and producer. I love all the hard-charging, catchy riffs, funky time signatures, synth textures…pretty much everything."
